![]() Star Wars: Dark Forces was the first fps Star Wars game I played. There is no "quick-save" option, so missions must be restarted from the beginning once your lives expire. The 14 missions are completed in a linear manner, with your assistant Jan Ors providing valuable assistance along the way. ![]() Your arsenal varies from a simple blaster to a heavy-duty mortar gun, and you must collect power-ups, keys and other special items to survive each mission and progress to the next. ![]() Opponents include Stormtroopers, Probe Droids, deadly gun turrets, axe-wielding Gamorrean guards, sewer-dwelling Dianogas, the bounty hunter Boba Fett, and the Dark Troopers themselves. While missions vary in purpose, your overall objective requires the investigation (and eventual destruction) of deadly new Imperial soldiers called "Dark Troopers." Your adventure takes you to underground mines, sludge-filled sewers, arctic installations, deserted cities, scum-filled space ports, and aboard Imperial spacecraft. You're able to run, jump, duck, and look up or down. ![]() Control Katarn from a first-person perspective as you journey through 3D levels featuring indoor and outdoor environments. Star Wars: Dark Forces puts you into the Star Wars universe as a mercenary named Kyle Katarn, employed by the Rebel Alliance. ![]()
